Abbeville Art Atlas giveaway

Post #1168 • April 29, 2008, 10:04 AM • 4 Comments

Courtesy the good people at Abbeville Press, Artblog.net has had three copies of The Art Atlas to give away.

The Art Atlas is the first work to present the art of the entire world from ancient to modern times through extensive use of specially commissioned maps. Covering painting, sculpture, and architecture as well as other arts and artifacts, the volume provides an entirely new vision of the history of the world’s art by showing how physical and political geography has shaped its developments.

Copies go to the first three readers who send me an e-mail with Jackson Pollock's birthday (month, day, and year) in the subject line and their full mailing address in the body. (Residents of the continental US and Canada only please.) Update 10:40 am: And we have our winners! Congrats to all.

Abbeville has a blog, naturally, called Manual of Style.

Crap! That's what I get for being virtuous and not checking the blogs until the afternoon. To the good people at Abbeville Press: there are other art blogs out there, some of which are written by map geeks who do book reviews, hint hint.
