These are nice images, watercolor I assume. Calming, though they make me want to remove the smoke stacks. I would not have known that they were smokestacks without the text, so it makes the images and text rather inseparable. Interesting though that smokestacks, and other sources of air pollution, may lead to smog which can stifle the spectacle of sunsets.

Us Jerseyans are cursed forever to suffer at the hands of snotty folks who only drive the top ten miles of the Turnpike.

Hey, I know where you live!

Very nice. Are you doing pieces for the whole drive to CA?

Sorry, I'm not loving it. Maybe I expect watercolors to be more wishy-washy, not intense fields of sharply-delineated color like the red and blue. Or maybe I'm too jarred by the smokestacks commanding the center of the image so heavily. My favorite moment is in the last image, in the lower-right corner, where the red and green are battling it out and trying to neutralize each other.

...watercolor I assume.

Gouache, actually.

I figure they don't call it the Garden State for nothing. But boy, you sure can't figure out why from the turnpike. Or from Newark.

Are you doing pieces for the whole drive to CA?

Yep.

Hovig, check the source. You might be able to shed some light on a problem I had with the color.

I like them F, especially the red....very bloody. Looking at them without knowing they are smokestacks...I see an animal standing ...standing and then dead with two legs straight up in the air.
