I don't have an answer.

The answer is that the people have spoken with their wallets - and voted to fund a new museum! It is my understanding that the MAM was originally designed as a kunsthall - only for shows travelling through the city - it was never intented to house a permanent collection...now we can move forward.

The next step is to recruit Jack to sit on their board!

FRC is obviously kidding. Jack has serious MAM issues. He's the last person the current MAM players would want around, because he wouldn't want them around. FRC might be confusing Jack with Kathleen, even though that would seem to be practically impossible.

I'd rather see (at least) three questions: Best city for viewing art? Best art loving city? Best city to make art in?

I would never imagine Texas for 3 out of 10. I have heard interesting things of Marfa...

I've been to Denver a few times and aside from the museum and a few galleries it seems to be a very quiet town. A Clifford Still museum is not and will never be a draw.

So what's Miami to do? MAM is moving, so down time is on the horizon I would imagine. MOCA is a reliable museum, Oehlen just opened. But maybe North Miami isn't Miami on his list. Isn't the gallery scene here as vibrant as we're told?
