Elisa Turner, art critic for the Miami Herald, was seriously injured in a car accident in Indiana last Friday. A Tuesday report in the Herald described her as "in a coma and in critical but stable condition." Her husband and two children were in the car as well; her son suffered a ruptured spleen and her daughter received slight injuries. The Herald provided no new information this morning except to correct the son's age (19) in the earlier report.
A commenter on yesterday's thread said that her doctors have hope that she will come out of her coma in 7 to 20 days. She also provided the address of the hospital for sending good wishes.
