individual artist grant returns

Surprise! The Florida State Individual Artist Grant, once presumed lost, has returned. Guidelines are now available right here. Five grand per grant is still in effect. Deadline is June 1, 2004.
Please send happy thoughts to the people at the Division of Cultural Affairs.
UPDATE: Hold the phone. Deadline for the Dance, Folklife/Traditional Arts, Interdisciplinary, Literature, Music and Theatre categories is June 1, 2004. Deadline for the Media Arts and Visual Arts/Crafts categories is June 1, 2005. And I don't think Visual Arts and Crafts were lumped together in previous versions of the award. Not so good.

Jeb Bush lobbied for the grant. He wanted to increase funds. "Art is critical to life in our glorious state." I feel the glory. It gives me the chills.
