atari allure

Thanks to Roberta Fallon and Libby Rosof for the invitation to participate in their artblog. I briefly answered a question posed by Philadelphia artist and writer Gerard Brown about the allure of old video games. Actually, vintage porn was invloved as well, but I’m not qualified to comment on it.

The creators of Homestar Runner do hilarious things with the Atari Aesthetic. The site usually looks like this, but there’s an Atari version of the homepage here. I assert that Homestar Runner is more subversive and avant-garde than 90% of the time-based art being made in “serious” art circles.

UPDATE: Trogdor!
