i\\\'m in a show with whom?

My California gallery characterized the upcoming group show, if I remember rightly, as a combination of established artists and early-career artists like myself, all working with the figure. Cool. But after hemming and hawing about it, I decided that it wouldn’t be worth going out to San Diego for an opening for a group show in which I had just a few pieces.
Then I got the invitation. All I could do was stare at it for a long time.
It happens – not often, but more often than I deserve – that someone sees promise in my work that I am unable to detect myself. Scott White is one of these people, and I am grateful to him.
The opening is Friday, July 11, 6 to 8 pm at Scott White Contemporary Art in California. Come by if you can. I’ll be the bald guy walking around the gallery with a stunned expression.
