the end of arts funding

An enlightening article in Newsweek by ArtsJournal.com editor Douglas McLennan was sent to my attention by Sherron Long of the Florida Cultural Alliance, which has been working tirelessly to stop the execution-style murder of arts funding in the state of Florida. It makes for interesting reading, especially when coupled with the essay by Lynne Munson on newCrit about the meltdown of standards and common sense at the National Endowment for the Arts.
