The Last Samurai was an impressive effort. The fight choreography was realistic, as were the battle scenes. Tom Cruise was mostly plausible even if the story wasn't. I recommend it to Japanophiles like myself especially.
Oh, you want a roundup of Art Basel Miami Beach? Let me put it this way: it was like spending a week at an orgy. It felt good at the time and I made a lot of new contacts, but now I feel sore, spent, and emotionally unfulfilled. Seeing this much art in one week is a bad idea, and I had to follow it up with a movie in which a lot of people die in order to get my head straight. Details to follow.
